i have always been heavy , but in 2003 i had a liver transplant and the meds that they have me on have added 75 + pounds to me and no matter what i have tried i can't keep them off. So i asked my tranplant support people about the lapband and they see no reason that it isn't possible. Bypass isn't and option because my meds are absorbed thru the small intestine. However they didn't know of any other tranplant reciepiant that has ever had it done. i posted a message looking for another that may have had this done and got no answers. So it appears that i may be the first. Lucky me!! my surgery is set for 3/26/2007 .
