So I had my surgery on March 24th. It was a complete success! I didn't even need pain medication in the hospital. I got up and walked around and I really think that had a lot to do with it. I came home and started in on my post-op diet. I have had no trouble so far. As of right now I am in my week 3 diet. I went to see my surgeon on Monday and told him that so far I have had no problems tolerating any foods and am able to get in the right amounts of protein and water. I asked if it would be possible for me to try ground meats a few days earlier. He said go ahead, so I did! I had tuna salad and ham salad and was able to tolerate both! The ham salad I think I might've eaten a little quickly so I was very gassy after, but the next day I ate slower and had no issues. At this point I have lost 34lbs. 7 of those lbs were on the pre-op diet, but from this point on I'm just going to combine it all. I've lost it all, haven't I?My starting weight was 294lbs and my current weight is 260. I can't believe how quickly it has come off so far! I know I have a long way to go but this sure is a nice start!
