Hi Everyone,

Had my RNY Surgery on 12/16/13, and boy is it tough.

My daughter was a HUGE inspiration for me having this surgery. I had thought about it a few years back, but couldn't come to terms with the surgical procedure.

This is something I seriously needed to do (obviously, that's why we are all here on this site), but until my daughter went to a seminar,  I accompanied her for support, did I feel that I could actually do this.

We both signed up for the consultations, and started the process. She was given the 12/16/13 date as her surgery, and although apprehensive for her, I was happy for her. Then I got a call, that the same date was available.

It made sense,  the school holidays were almost on us, and I'd be off work until after the new year..... so WE did it, same date, different surgeons, I went first.

CRAZY YES, two of us recovering at home, comparing notes and trying to encourage each other.

I'm happy I found this site. I'm looking forward to getting information from some veterans. Time to go searching.

Did I mention, boy is it tough?
