Hi everyone!
SJ has flown through surgery with flying colors. She is in quite a bit of pain, but she's being a trooper! Her mouth was unbearably dry from the anesthesia, and that seemed to be her biggest complaint. Second, she said her belly felt like it was under a lot of pressure. She has already gotten up and walked around the unit, and she seems in much better spirits than immediate post-op. The doctor said it might take up to 10 days to lose the wiped out feeling she will get upon activity as a result of the anesthesia. All in all, excellent results! Incision looks good, test for leaks was negative, and she could be home as early as tomorrow. I'll keep you posted. Sandy said, "I can't believe I actually did it!" She said to say hi to everyone and looks forward to starting the new "her." Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. I'm terribly sorry for the delay in news. I left the hospital with every intention of getting on the computer, but I sat down and passed out from sheer exhaustion. Whew! What a day...now we are headed for TRIMVILLE!
