Feb. 28, 2011: Hiya long time no see my friend... I am going strong, I walk 5 miles a day, Zumba and workout. I look fantastic I feel even better then I look, I am 43 now and I have 2 grandsons that without surgery I never would have met. God is good. I will update and add pics soon when I can figure this all out. Have a Great Day!
Dec. 21, 2004: Guess its been awile since I have been back. I am doing great hoping for my last surgery soon butt and thighs we will see. Started dumping again so watching closer what I eat. Exercise?? lol I try but try as I might I don't get alot in. But overall I am doing awesome I am posting new pictures today!
MAY 24,2003: I am almost 9 WEEKS post TUMMY TUCK...Amazing the difference in me now I sometimes forget I do not have a belly button but nice to look down and see things I have not seen in years to be honest I can not tell ya the last time I looked down and saw ANYTHING besides my belly *S* Life is truly great.. I pray all of you the same success I have had with RNY Surgery and later on with the Plastic Surgery! May God Bless You and Keep You in His Hands!
APRIL 5,2003: I Feel wonderful since having the drains out I walk completely straight WOOWOO ...Went shopping today and had a great time with my husband *S* The Tummy Tuck itself was not painful at all for me God has blessed me yet again!!! *S*
APRIL 2,2003: Went to See Dr Hollins today for my Week Checkup He pulled the drains thought I was gonna faint He said everything looked good and the incision was healing wonderfully and he would like to see me in a week! I got home Got to take a shower was like heaven *s* Steri strips were bothering me so I pulled them off found out i was allergic to them... ITCH BIG TIME =(
MARCH 28,2003: I AM 5 DAY POST TUMMY TUCK AS OF TODAY!! PAIN WISE I AM DOING PRETTY GOOD I HAVE A LIL DRAINAGE AROUND ONE OF MY DRAIN TUBES I ENDED UP COMING HOME WITH 3 DRAIN TUBES AND I HAVE TO MEASURE AND EMPTY THEM EVERY DAY AS OF TODAY THE DRAINAGE HAS SLOWED DOWN DRAMATICALLY WOOWOO. I GO BACK TO SEE HOLLINS WED APRIL 2ND AND PRAY DRAINAGE IS STOPPED SO I CAN TAKE THEM OUT AND READJUST THIS BINDER A PAIN IN MY BUTT BUT MAN MAKES ME LOOK WAY THIN EVEN WITH ALL THE SWELLING *S* ANYWAY I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED ON HOW I AM DOING AND SOON WILL POST PICS OF THE TUMMY TUCK>>>THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT THROUGHOUT ALL MY SURGERIES IT WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! MARCH 23,2003: TOMORROW IS MY BIG DAY FOR TUMMY TUCK!! I am So Excited and a lil scared the more I think about it the more those dang lil butterlies flutter around*S* My Surgery is at 3:30 pm I have to be at UNMC at 2 pm Nothing to eat or drink after midnight tonight its gonna be hard for me to do this.. but this is what I have worked so hard to get to I CAN DO THIS ... PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!! Thanks SO much!
MARCH 3,2003: I called Insurance today to see if they heard anything about my TT approval...said would call me back so by 2 had not heard so I proceded to call them again (MY NEW BEST FRIENDS) hahaha was on the phone with a lady VERY FRIENDLY INSURANCE PEOPLE BY THE WAY... as we were talking the approval came through MEDICAL NECCESITY APPROVAL is what she called it. Did not think I heard her so I said "This mean I am approved"? she said Yes the doctors office would know within a few days!
SO.........I called docs office told them ins got a hold of me I was approved....so Rachel (other best bud at docs office) hehe siad lets set up a surgery date one came open March 24 th (LESS THEN 3 WEEKS AWAY) *S* and I got it for 3:30 pm I will go for preop at the hospital on Friday March 21st They will call me with the times.
What excites me about this the most is that my 2 daughters live in Texas one is 15 and other 13...I had them with me for spring break 2 years ago when I was having my open RNY I spent time in the hospital when they were here...now almost 2 years to the day of my rny I am having plastic surgery and it so happens my daughters spring break falls a week BEFORE Tummy Tuck Surgery. They are my good luck charms and I will get to see them before I have surgery ...this is gods way of telling me everything will be alright *S* I have a wonderful husband thats scared to death.. and a TON of friends that God has brought into my life ...for a very special reason.. God has truly blessed my life and for this I thank him and I pray that by his will that the rest of my life will be amazing *S* My Life is in his hands, and what better hands could you ask for *S*
JAN 15, 2003: I met with Dr Hollins In Omaha today for my Tummy Tuck Consult he was very open and explained everything in great detail he did not think there would be a problem with Insurance covering it I has back problems and rashes.. He took Pictures and explained he would write a letter and send pictures into the insurance company .. We have Blue cross Blue shield He said We should hear back from them in 4 - 6 weeks!! *FINGERS CROSSED* I liked Dr Hollins personality and how thorough he was.. So did my husband he spoke to BOTH of us and answered all of our questions. I will let you know what happens with my ins as soon as I hear!!
(DEC 26, 2002) I am 21 Months Post Op!!!! I am down 277 Pounds... ALot has changed in the last year for me I moved from Oklahoma to Nebraska I am REMARRIED as of Dec 19, 2002 *S* I am scheduled for My Plastic Surgery Consult on Jan 15,2003 (a few weeks away) I am a lil nervous, but have come way to far to stop now *S* I still dump once in awhile and I get food stuck from eating to fast... other then this I am doing remarkably well... I will update further when I find out about plastic surgery!
