I'm now 5months post op and loving everthing about it. I'm currently 164lbs and in a size 10. WOW!! 21 lbs from my goal.
Life with the band is not easy like so many think, but it does make life so much easier for me. I now can cross my legs, run with my kids, play ball with my kids (never have done this ever with my boys 7 and 10 yrs old). Sex is amazing!!

It has been 49 days since surgery and I have lost 25.5lbs!
I was called a skinny B***h by a student today, and I loved hearing it.

Well today is my one month WLS anniversary!! I'm so thankful for this chance at life. I'm currently at 210 (20lbs off since surgery). I feel amazing.
I go in the 13th - Monday for my first fill. I'm a little scared, so far I haven't had any trouble with food, and dont want to. I try to be careful and eat the right things. Hopefully all will go well.

WOW!! This has been an amazing two weeks. I have tried to get approval for the band for two years now and nothing.
I lost my dad in a car accident 08/10/06 and that's when my life completly changed. My mother offered to pay for my surgery from the life insurance. I didn't know what to do. I had to lose my dad to get my surgery. It's bitter sweet. My dad was obese, diabetes, high blood pressure and I have been on the same road, but my Mom rufused to let it happen.
Octover 4th I called my doctor and spoke with his secretary to start the process of getting surgery (now that I had the money..no help to the insurance company). She said OK , call the Pshy get appointment, bring me your paperwork from seminar and we will get started. WOW, okay. I called the Pshy, appointment next day. Okay it is Thursday the 5th. Shirley said surgery date the 17th and I needed to start liquids Friday. Okay here I go.
Friday morning Shirley calls......."if you are good on diet, Dr says appointment with him Monday and surgery Tuesday!!" OMG this is really going to happen.
Well I see Doc on Monday all is on track come to hospital 6AM tomorrow. Tomorrow?? October 10th.....that is the two month anniversary of losing my Dad. How profound is that. My dad is gone but he is still taking care of me.
Tuesday morning October 10th at hospital......SCARED TO DEATH, but all is good. Went in surgery at 7:30AM out in recovery at 8:30. Very little pain and sitting in a chair. I leave hospital at 2:30. WOW not so bad. A little soar, but not bad.
Well Mom took care of me for the week. A few days I was soooo soar, but today October 17th I'm doing GREAT. Im actually back to work.
I started this venture at 230.5 and as of today I am at 221. This is amazing. Funny at times when you look at what we eat! But thank God for this amazing tool that can finally safely change and save our lives.
