Well my story begins along time ago. I have always been over-weight. In 1990 when I was expecting my first child I gained 60 lbs. I weighed 155 before I was expecting and I was 209 when I delivered. I had many miscarriages and then in 1993 I gave birth to my second child. I did well with that one I only gained 12 lbs but I was 232 when I gave birth. In 1995 I had to have a total hystroctomy I was 25 at the time. My body went completely crazy then I think that is when it really changed for me.. I have steadly gained weight since then. I have tried every diet known to mankind and would lose a few pounds and gain it back plus more. In 2004 I decided it was time to take the next step and look into surgery. My husband was in the Navy and we were stationed in Washington DC so I qualified for surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. With all the casualities from Iraq this was not one of top on their list and my hubby retired before I could have it so when we got to La I started looking for a surgeon all over again. I did more research than should be allowed and found Dr. Hargroder and started the process and this is where I am at now
