I had VSG on August 29 2016 ( This past Monday) and everything went great. Pompeii Surgical Dr. Quinones.

Hello guys I went to Tijuanna Baja California ( Which Is Mexico) and let me share my experience.

I arrived there Sunday August 28 at 940am. Once I arrived I called the teansportation and let them know I was at the airport. 10 minutes later my driver was there.

I arrived in San Diego. He came got my luggage and across the border we went. Crossing the border was very easy. Once we entered Tijuanna I had to have a barium swallow so I had to go to a radiologist center. Completed some paper work and had the barium swallow, they send the results to the surgeon and give you a copy. Then my diver took me to my hotel which was pretty nice Holiday Inn. I gave him 100 pesos and he went about his way. He left me with a cell phone and all the contact numbers in case I need anything.

The next day my driver called and informed me he would pick me up at 8am to take me to the surgery center. He was right on time. Then I submitted my payment, met the surgeon, completed bloodwork. 

Dr. Q came back in and sat and talked with me, we discussed the surgery and answered my million questions without being annoyed. I was finally ready the nurse came in and put a IV in my arm and I was ready. I then met the surgery team, which included the anesthesiologist, surgeon assistant, and nurse. The anesthesiologist told me to take some deep breaths and next thing I know I was sleeved. 

( Im just giving you a summary if you need more detail just ask me)

I woke up having to use the bathroom. They offered me a bedpan ( I declined) although full of anesthesia I walked to the bathroom with assistance. After that I was in pain but they got the pain under control through my IV. 

The next day I was allowed ice chips, but first I had to do a leak test which I past. On Wednesday they gave me ice and offered my a popsicle ( which was delicous), then I had to do another leak test and I passed. also.

My pain really stopped after the first day of surgery, so no more pain. On Wednesday I was discharged so my driver took my back to the hotel. ( all of this is included in the price also).  I received my medication to take before I left the surgery center also. I stayed an extra day just in case complications ( I had none) and the doctors office cover that extra day at the hotel. Which was not ncluded.

I want to let everyone know that I can personally speak for Pompeii Surgical in Tijuanna Baj California which is Mexico. I actually experienced it. 

As Im only 6 days out my scale has went down 10lbs. Im also very active, I walk walk walk walk walk because I know it helps healing.
