Cheryl, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. May peace and love surround you on your journey and carry you along safely. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. As you know, our profiles provide a lifeline to others embarking on this journey. You never know who you might inspire!

Cheryl -- Do Not Despair!!! Dr.Marshall's office is getting to be quite busy but they are still doing great at scheduling people. I had my initial consultation on May 2nd, got my Medicaid approval letter 2 to 3 weeks later and am now scheduled for surgery with Dr.Marshall next Wednesday, July 3rd!!! I go to see him tomorrow for the pre-surgical appointment. I was able to have all my pre-op testing done this past Monday at my local hospital. We are very fortunate not to have to wait months or even years like some people! Good luck and hang in there -- Anna

Cheryl, I am so happy that you got approved. It is such a long wait I know. I got my date around June 10 and got the surgery date of Aug 12. The wait is a bummer BUT at least we have the peace in knowing that our turn is coming...and it is coming soon. There are several people on here that are scheduled for Oct, Nov, Dec and spring of 2003... now you have time to buy several months supply of out protein and vits and all the other stuff we future post-ops need. Good luck and celebrate your good news!

Hi Cheryl, I too am using the Peoria Surgical Group. I just had my psych evaluation on 5/16/02 I am now waiting on a date. AS far as the man problems, listen you are going to croos over to a new life, the men you now chhose problem won't have a chance with you later. You will become more assertive and picky, You are beautiful and you derserve a great man to care for you. Cheryl: When is your surgery date? At any rate, good luck and hang in there kiddo. PS Your picture is great, I have always wanted one of those glamour shots but was too embarrassed to do so.

Hi Again Cheryl, You are such a card. . .so funny and up beat and that's exactly what I need. I hope all is moving along quickly for you also and I cannot imagine even after losing the weight you want, you could not be a more beautiful girl. Hi all. Just a little under a week till initial consult and I am trying to get all my ducks in a row. I have dr. records being sent up the the surgeon by the truckloads, working on documenting weight loss efforts through the years, writing down surgeries and medications for the surgeon....just got an info pack from OSF from Peoria, the other surgeons I am considering. I will check it all out while my son practices baseball tonight lol. Also working on drinking lots of water and cutting out soda to be ready. I'm ready to move forward. Appreciate your prayers. Looking for an angel in the central Illinois area.

ENjoyed your Martha's Moments. She doesn't have nothing on us does she? This was a much needed lift as I go for my pre-ops tomorrow night and it's alittle nerving. Next Thurs. the 18th is the big day, so this really helped lighting up my day. Anita
