It all started when my best friend started looking into WLS.  I learned alot about it from her, and she had surgery in May and has done very well.  I started thinking about surgery when she had hers done, but I thought (once again) that I could just diet and lose the weight on my own, but of course, that still didn't work.  I finally got fed up with being overweight and asked what she did to start the process to having surgery.  I got online and printed out a patient questionnaire from the hospital's website and mailed it in, and a few days later they called to schedule an appointment because they thought I was a good candidate...  I now have a tentative surgery date of January 9th at 10:30 am... the surgeon's office called on Monday to say that my insurance company approved me... I'm wondering what I'm going to have to pay out of pocket, but I think most everything should be covered... I'm nervous and excited!!!  and I'm hoping that after surgery, I won't have to take high blood pressure medicine anymore!!
