I just got back from my post op follow up and i am down 18 pounds! Wow thats just unbelievable and i am so happy. So he said that i dont need to stay on liquids for another week. He said i can go to pureed now and then soft next week. So i am excited to continue my journey.

Well this week has been interesting. I'm learning the pain in my shoulder and lower left side is gas pain and I'm hoping this doesn't last long. I went back to work yesterday and by 1pm i had enough. I am still relying on my liquid pain meds to survive the days and nights. Its not that i cant take the pain, its just that it takes the edge off. I'm trying to understand exactly what restriction is. I mean i feel like I'm not hungry and when i do eat i feel full faster. So i am guessing thats what its like. Sometimes i think i can eat more when i get to the bottom of my farina..then i wait like few min and i'm like NO WAY.. i'm stuffed!I do wonder if its the tenderness from surgery or this is what its always going to feel like. Well whatever it is i will make the best of it. This is my new life and i will own it. I want to eat to live ... not live to eat.
