Life after surgery

Well I finally had VSG surgery on January 27, 2011. I have to admit my first 2 weeks after surgery was very diffcult. I was in a lot of pain. I definitely had buyers remorse. I was watching the cooking channel all day long. I can tell you what Paula Dean, The Neely's and Rachel Ray cooked everyday. Oh I forgot Man vs Food. Yes, I know this was crazy but it was a coping tool for me. I am now 5 weeks out and 33lbs lighter. Can I say I am overjoyed, "No not really" in my Duane Johnson voice from the movie "Toothfairy"... LOL Anyway, I am not sure why I am having these mixed emotions. My daughter has been a ray of sunshine. She compliments me everyday. She says "I see you mom looking all skinny"...
This is a life changing experience and I guess I am still adjusting. I am hoping my emotions get in check soon.
