I've only lost down to 229 so far...2 weeks out.  I'm having a hard time getting in protein.  Because all the protein powders are NASTY!  I cannot stomach them, so I'm trying to get protein through Isopure and food sources.

I'm home from the hospital and doing very well.  The pain is minimal, but I'm very uncomfortable...which is to be expected with any surgery.  I'm having a hard time figuring out what and when to eat.  I have set myself on a schedule and trying to stick to that.

Well..I got my approval and have a date of 04/11/07.  I am just hanging out to night...got all my stuff packed and my house clean and ready to go. 

Tomorrow night will do a "family night"...as my surgery will be the next morning.  I can't wait to get this done so I can get on with the tasks of becoming healthy again.

I'm new to all of this...so this may be a "rambling" blog... lol  

I have been overweight most of my life..with some time of experiencing being small.  It was only a tease..I always gain the weight back, plus.  It's exhausting, not to mention MISERABLE.

I'm in the process of getting approval from my insurance company right now.  I've submitted everything to the bariatric program..and am praying for a positive result.  

Posting on profiles and updating profiles is not one of my shining talents...so I will do what I can here..lol  

The baby in the picture is my BEAUTIFUL granddaughter who God blessed us with in 2005.  She's 14 months old and had a heart transplant in Jan/2006.  She's doing wonderful and is the joy of my life.  I want to be healthy for myself...but for my kids and granddaughter as well.  God has blessed me with 2 gorgeous sons and the MOST gorgeous (not spoiled at all...lol) granddaughter.

I hope my journey will continue and I will have a healthy life for me and my family.
