Well, this is the 10th day since my surgery. I think this has been my best day so far. I am beginning to feel more normal now. Eating the soft protein diet has made a big difference in how I feel. I am getting in my vitamins and other things and I feel so much better now. The gas is pretty much gone. Thank goodness! I will be out of work for one more week, so, I need to make the best of this week! I will have to learn my routine all over. I work night shift and it is a different world! But, I know that I will be fine. I am really happy that I had this surgery. My life is changing all ready. That I am very happy about. For the first time in my life, I have something for me that I can be proud of. Can't wait to see how the rest of my life is going to be!!

Today is my first doctor's appointment since surgery. I am very anxious to see if I lost any weight. I can't really tell very much, so we'll see. I got to eat my first egg yesteray. Yum! I take back everything I have ever said about eggs! I thought my bout with gas was over, but I was SO WRONG!! OMG, when is this going to end! I hope Dr. Richard can help me out with some advice on this. I am starting to get bummed out on my protein drinks as well. I need to get some variety so I don't get bored with the same one all the time. Well, it has been a very interesting week. I have had some rough points, but all in all, things have been okay. I am not regretting my decision in any way. I am just looking forward to more choices to eat. I know things will just keep getting better after today. Today is my 11th wedding anniversary. My husband is just the best. He has helped me so much. He is my biggest supporter and does everything he can to make me comfortable. I love him very much. Well, off for another walk. See ya!

Well, today was a much better day. The pain I was having from the gas is finally coming to an end. I felt much better today all around. I didn't dread eating the same things, again. HeHe. It rained here all day long!!! So, no walks outside. I moved around in the house as much as I could. I got a little tired, but that is to be expected. I am going to have to work on getting in more water. I wasn't a big fan of water before the surgery, so this is going to be one of my biggest challenges. I know it has to be done. I need to set mini goals to reach that 64oz. mark. I am not going to try to it all in one day. Baby steps. Well, I guess I better go get ready for bed. I have to get a good nights sleep tonight. Today has been a very hard day. Despite all the moving I have done, I am still having a lot of pain from the gas. Drinking is very painful. I hope that it goes away soon. It is raining here and chilly, so I am moving in the house mostly. I know I have to keep moving more and more. I hope tomorrow will be better. I am not hungry still, but I am finding that I am wanting foods that I can't have yet. The liquid diet is okay, but I am looking forward to foods that I can chew. I get to eat an egg on Thursday! Well, time for bed. I must have a better day tomorrow!
I am home now! October 14th.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am home from the hospital and I am doing fine. My surgery went well with no complications. I am having a time with being gasey, but I guess that is to be expected. I have been able to eat clear liquids with no problems so far, just get full really fast. Dr. Richard was very sweet and did a great job taking care of me. The staff at the hospital were awesome! I am very pleased with the way things have turned out so far. I can't wait till I see some results. My stomach is very bloated right now, so I can't see any difference. I am sure in another week, I will be able to see a change. I would like to wish all you who are scheduled for surgery this month my best wishes for a speedy recovery and great success!
