"My first impression of Dr. Thompson was that he was very knowledgeable in this field. I felt that he sincerely cared about me as a potential patient, and that he had an interest in all of my pre-surgical concerns. I respect his advise, and I respect the fact that he does not sugar coat what this surgery is all about. He explained that this surgery is a tool, and that he can do his part, but its up to me to make the necessary lifestyle changes in order for the surgery to be successful. He went over the risks of the surgery as well as the risks of not having the surgery. The benefits far out weigh the risks, and I am prepared. I know that I am not immune to the risks, but positivity only allows me to believe that I will come through this, only to lead a healthier more positive existence."
