Finally I have a surgery date after 1 year and 7 months of waiting.....November 30. I have been pushed around from 3 different doctors because of insurance issues. I am nervous and very excited, but also kind of disappointed because I didn't get to use the doctor I wanted and felt the most comfortable with. It really sucks that the insurance companies treat you like you should fit into their cookie cutter mold.
In the meantime, I have had to undergo gallbladder surgery in the last month because the surgerons and insurance companies have pushed me from one place to another . I have been out of work since September 27 and if I am luck I will get to go back after Christmas break (I teach school). It has also been a financal strain being out of work so long ( I am a single parent with 2 boys).
I guess the biggest thing is, I am so ready to get on with my life instead of just thinking about it.
