4 months post-op

Nov 11, 2011

I'm not a very good blogger!  Lol, it has been 4 months since my VGS, and I have lost 56 lbs. which is half way to my goal.  I am doing quite well.  I really should exercise more than I do, but after working 12 hr days I tend to be tired.  I am ready to take on the Holiday challenge.  I'm just not very hungry, and I don't crave many sweets.  I will sometimes have a mini piece of chocolate, but I don't eat deserts.  I rarely try to eat any bread, due to the fact that I don't feel It sets well in my system any longer.  When dinning out, I just have a few bites of my spouses meal, or whoever I'm with usually doesn't mind sharing with me becuase I won't eat much.  Hahahahaha, I love it!

Day 4 post-op

Jul 16, 2011

I am now 4 days post-op, and feeling better about my decision.  I was having some buyer's remorse the day after surgery, due to having a lot of nausea and vomiting.  I'm still not completely sure if I'm supposed to be on clear liquids or just liquids at this point.  I have been walking quite a bit, and napping.  I am able to drink more fluids without feeling bloated.  I am ready to get on  with my new life.

Ready for the New me!

Jun 28, 2011

I am patiently waiting to have the VGS done on July 13th, 2011.  I have to get through the July 4th weekend, and then go on my liquid diet.  I am so ready to lose this weight, and get my life back!  My body, and joints ache all the time and they are screaming for relief.  Hahahaha, can you hear them? I have already got a head start on my vitamins.  My main concern is that I don't want my hair to fall out from malnutrition.  I just want to do everything right to be successful.
