Apparao Vanguri

" I think Dr. Vanguri is a very good surgeon. He is a very soft spoken man. I was excited to meet him when I went for my initial consultation. In my mind all I could think about was this is the man who could change my life forever as well as end it if something goes wrong. I only saw him twice before the surgery. 1st at the intial appt. when he took me and 3 other potentials into his office and explained the procedure and answered any and all questions. I had the most questions. The sencond time was a week before the surgery when I went for my orientation. His nurse Beverly, who also had the surgery, conducted the orientation. She went over everything you need to know before surgery, right after, what to expect when you get home, what you can and can not eat the first month, and what to look for on food labels. It was very informative and I'm glad they have that in place. Dr. Vanguri is an excellent surgeon. The only problem I've had was when he tried to draw my blood at my first post-op visit. It was not a succesful draw and it was a little painful. From now on I am going to my regular doctor to get my quarterly blood draws. On the day of surgery he was very comforting and he held my hand as I drifted off into lala land. He came to see me all 3 days that I was in the hospital and he seemed genuinely concerned with how I was feeling. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give him a 9. The only reason not a 10 is because I had laproscopic but he also made a 3 inch incision down the middle which I'm not too happy with but I lived through it and I came out alive so I'm happy and very thankful."
