One year and more update
Nov 08, 2007
Well I can't believe it has been a while year. I am so happy with the results of my surgery and hard work for the past year. I have lost a total of 122 pounds and am now smaller than my teen age daughter. I wear a size 10 or 12 and couldn't be happier. I do think I have just changed addictions though. I now love to shop!!!!! I have so much more energy and I think my kids and husband are not so embarrassed to be seen with me. I know my husband wouldn'ta say anything though, he loved even when I was too fat. Another plus is that I am smaller than my mother, the ever persistant nag. She tried to make it seem like concern everytime she would mention a new diet or a new exercise machine, but the constant nagging just made me want to eat more. I hope I never do that to my own daughter. Till next time. Tata
Six month update
Apr 21, 2007
Well it is almost the end of April. I had my 6 month check up 3 weeks ago and I am now finally at the 100 pound mark. I couldn't be happier. I wish I had made the decision earlier. I have missed out on so much. My kids probably would have loved to have me more active when they were younger.
I went to an amusement park 2 weeks ago and rode a roller coaster for the first time in a long time. Those of you who are or have been morbidly obese know why this is a big fear. I was always afraid I would break the ride, or the restraints wouldn't hold me. It was so much fun. I can't wait to go to Disneyland again.

3 Month update
Feb 03, 2007
Three months now. I have a treadmill which I walk on 5 or 6 days a week. I walk 3 miles a day. I am now down 71 pounds and am so thankful I had this surgery. It has saved my life. I love the new me. I am taking on a new job this next week. I will finally fulfill a dream of mine and will be coaching high school softball for my son's school. I am really excited. Keep up the good work all you WLS patients.
Latest weight loss
Jan 07, 2007
To date I have lost 62 pounds. We bought a treadmill and will have it on Wednesday. I am excited about stepping up the weight loss. I am hoping the treadmill will speed up the process. I have been doing great on my portions and eating. I do get full and can tell, so I am starting to recognize that. I am so happy.
I am now in a size 18 pant and fit into Large and XL shirts. Now that I bought clothes that fit, you can tell how much weight I have lost. It also helps in my confidence to see the way I look.
I am trying to find someone with a camera to take an up to date pic of me.

2 month Check up
Dec 11, 2006
Well it has been two months since surgery and I have now lost 52 pounds. I have so much energy, but I am discouraged that I am only losing 1-2 pounds a week now. I need to exercise more now and speed up my metabolism. Is there anyone else out there having the same problems of slow weight loss? I am also tired of the same old foods. I would like a little more flavor in my diet, without the fat and carbs. Any ideas?
