Happy Anniversary to me

Jul 03, 2011

So 2004 is when this journey started and I cannot believe all the changes since my surgery.
I was so relieved that everything went well and my recovery was as expected. Getting used to the new eating habits was a big deal but now all these years laters it is just who I am.

So what has happened since. well my kids finished school and I went back to school. Got my Assoc. Degree !!! Went back to work.... something my doctors had previously said I would never be able to do.
No more asthma meds on an everyday basis, just when it kicks up... no more diabetes at all !!!!! all gone yippee !!!
still take something for highblood pressure but since that runs in the family I did not really expect that to resolve itself completely.

I can take my granddaughter skating, to Monkey Joes or the park. I have been on a roller coaster and to a water park.

The key I believe is I am alive to do all these things and if I had not had the surgery the odds were great I would not be here.
So Happy 4th of July and Happy Anniversary to me and in a way Happy Birthday my new life started and I am pretty happy
