Just starting out

Hi everyone - I'm just beginning my research into surgery but I've thought about it for a while.  What's holding me back is surgical problems/complications.  I'm a single mom of 2 small children & I'm nervous about having complications.  I would love some feedback from members letting me know how the surgery & recovery went, what to expect pain wise and any complications, etc.
Thanks to all & I am so inspired by everyone's story & bravery.
