I joined Obesity Help in December of 2008. My husband was a little over 3 months out from his R-N-Y and had already lost 90 pounds. I had also joined sparkpeople in August of 2008 to prove I could do the weight loss I needed on my own. Here I am 3 years later and I am still battling the bulge. I have a family history that isn't pretty. My feet and back can't take hauling this excess weight around. I inquired at Fairview Weight Loss Clinic a month ago and I am a candidate. My BMI is 36.2 and I have 2 co-morbidities: hypertension and high cholesteral. I am so sick of the yo-yo plan I have been on my whole entire life! I always end up back here! Obese! Well yo-yo no more! I feel like the R-N-Y and the lap band weren't really for me, but the vertical sleeve sounds like a really good option. Well that's my story and right now I am on the fast track to get this done and finally feel healthy!
