Hi Stacy,
CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss. You look wondeful in your profile.
I had my Lap RNY WLS on 3/27/03. I'm 10 months post-op and have lost 75lbs. The day of surgery I weighed in at 341lbs but my highest weight ever was 353lbs.
I'm disappointed with my slow progress but I'm so thankful that I'm losing. I could of never in life prior to surgery loose this much weight in 10 months. I do sometimes get depressed but this was happening when I would start comparing myself to other people. One of the reason why I'm so slow is because I have no restrictions at all when it comes to food. I'm able to eat everything that I was eating prior to surgery but just in smaller amounts. I do not dump on anything. I can eat sugar with no problem so this is why I switched to splenda a really good sugar substitute.
I'm now exercising 5-6 days a week. I workout 30-45 minutes every morning by doing The Walk Away the Pounds, Tae-Bo or my Richard Simmons video tapes. I'm now drinkign over 64oz of liquids and I take my vitamins every day.
I'm happy because in these last 10 months I've gone from a size 30/32 dress to a 22/24. Though I'm slow I'm going to stay on this road until I get to my destination and I believe in my heart that the Lord has not brought me this far to leave me.
I truly loved reading your profile. What do you do daily for protein and exercise to be so successful.
Many Blessings,
Marilyn
