Well last week I was approved for the lap band. I go Sept. 17th for my nutrition class and ekg. My surgery is on October 4th. I get to start my 2 week diet not so excited about it but it will be worth it. Started drinking water yesterday so far okay, cutting out soda. The insurance company was fast and needed little info I have United Health Care they needed 5 yrs of medical records and it was only 1 visit per year for 5 years and my psyc eval. Once they recieved everything I was approved in 3 days.

Well I have been looking at surgery for the last 5 years. Just been too afraid I guess, not really sure of what failing or actually doing it. Its kind of funny sometimes I think we are more afraid of succeeding than failing, I think I have always had my weight there to be able to blame for my failures and if it is gone then I would have to see that I just failed and deal with it. So I decided that I am not afraid of succeeding any longer so I took a big step through the door and have an appt with Dr. Curry's, info session on the 20th of May. I know it is an old over used saying but I really can't wait to start living my life again.
