"Dr. Newhoff is a GENIUS! I 'shopped' around for a surgeon that I would be confident in. I interviewed three surgeons all of which gave me the feeling that I'd be better off morbidly obese than putting my life in their hands. I all but gave up when I met Dr. Newhoff. I knew after the small group meeting that I had finally found a surgeon that was both experienced and trustworthy. His office staff was o.k. for the most part, I wasn't too crazy about the lady that handles the insurance authorization; she doesn't like to return calls, she can't really be bothered. I had to do the leg work myself. After many messages went ignored, I finally got the information by calling my insurance company myself. They said that she had been notified 2 weeks earlier that I had been denied. I guess she didn't see the need to return the call for a "denied" client. I appealed directly to the insurance company and received approval after my first appeal. After that rocky beginning, everything went great! Dr. Newhoff is an absolute GEM! He is straight forward and very matter of fact about everything. He will tell you up front what is expected from you. There are absolutely no surprises. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both superior! I highly recommend him. "
