My wife and I went to the patient info session last night.Today, called the insurance companies to find out who covered what and then saw my PCP. She will be sending in my referral to the bariatric surgery group. So at this point I will be waiting to hear back from them. I also setup a journal in Google Docs so I can keep track of my weight, what I eat / drink, activities, and doctor visits. (The reason Google Docs, I will have access to it anywhere there is a internet connection, so I have no excuse in not writing in it.)
If you are thinking I seem to be moving too fast with this, let me say that I have been looking at this option for many years and this is not a decision I made overnight.
