Today my belly is growling, hurting, etc. is much better. I guess the head hunger went away when my body realized what i had done to it !! Not sore really at all, still having alot of air in my stomach, but that too will pass!!

Home from surgery, everything went well, but i am having HORRIBLE head hunger, hunger pains, etc. I'm sipping my water and hangin' in there, but i will be SO happy to never see chicken broth again !!

The Lord has answered my prayers ****** My denial was overturned and I was APPROVED !!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Stamp of Denial

Hi everyone, well, it didn't take BCBS of IL long to stamp a BIG DENIAL on my chart !! Found out a few min. ago i was denied for "non compliant with diet & exercise".
So, now you tell ME what else i'm suppose to do.....
For the past 12 months, i have been on a physician supervised / medical weight loss program. I have food diaries, exercise journals, etc. the girl at BCBS said the Med. Director states in his notes that if i was following the diet and excercise i should have shown a decrease in weight instead of a gain.
HELLO !!!!!!!!!!! My policy specifically says: " A documented failure of twelve (12) continuous months of compliance with medically supervised non-surgical methods of weight reduction" ......... I'd say by GAINING weight, that would be considered a failure ??!! The policy says NOTHING about having to lose a certain % of weight or that they would deny me if i gained any ??!!
The program i was on was through my employer and let me tell you, IT WASN'T CHEAP !! I paid for this thing EVERY month and now, what do i have to show for it ??!! A big fat denial letter ........ARGGHHHHHHHHH sorry everyone, i'm just really mad, confused, numb, hurt, etc, etc. I guess my next step is to appeal, but why should i HAVE to appeal, i did EVERYTHING i was suppose to !!

** Well, i'm "official" !! My 12 month supervised program is complete and my surgeon should be submitting all of my information to my insurance by Friday 7/21/6 **

Attended Gastric Bypass Seminar

I attended a Gastric Bypass Seminar last night given by Dr. Rutledge and it was great !! He answered any questions or concerns that everyone had and really put my mind at ease about having this surgery. He has done over 400 surgeries and says he really LOVES doing the laparoscopic gastric bypass. He really seems like he would have wonderful bedside manner and just seems like a great guy in general !!
My 12 month supervised diet will be complete in July and I am SO ready to begin my weight loss journey and start living my life again !!
