Lehigh Valley Health Network

" "New start" I woke up early in the morning, took my bath, got dressed and took the first and last full body picture as the overweight Person that i have been for over 27 years on and off. My three children accompanied me to Lehigh Valley Hospital Ceder Crest. The valet parking was great..due to that service it allowed me to sit with my kids to talk little more before surgery. Registration was easy and hassle free. Arrived upstairs and was called by the nurse within 5 min. Was taken to the back and the nurses there were so sweet helpful and their wonderful attitudes made me feel at ease and gave me no time to over think anything that i have already thought of a billion times. I had the chance to meet with my anesthesiologist my surgeon and the other staff members. I woke up in some pain after surgery but that was quickly taken care of . I was taken to my room upstairs where I shared a room with another patient that had a potty mouth but nothing is perfect..lol All the nurses were very nice and helpful. I asked to bath because i felt uncomfortable and was assigned a young nurses aide and she undressed me, didn't have anything ready and didn't even cover me up, She did this with the blinds to my window open. I had to let her know to cover me. Then when i asked to walk around she was told to walk with me and she wanted to send me out to walk alone...i had to remind her that she needed to walk with me per the Nurse request. Other than the potty mouth room mate and the one uncaring nurses aide....everyone else was great and my stay was a great one. "
