Hi all.... Yes it has been an awsome year!!! I'm currently down 102 lbs. I really should post a new picture. I went from a size 32 down to a nice size 20. I'm still losing. Not all the time, but the weight is coming off little by little. I still go religiously to a local support group that is unaffiliated with any surgeon. I'm so happy to have found them because my surgeon is 2½ to 3 hours away. I have tried other groups, but the one I go to has a lot of folks that have "made" it and I feel that they really have their "heads on straight". My next goal is to get braces and hopefully when that is done I will have improved my smile... I am also considering having my nose & chin done as part of "my new face"... Next chore will be to have the rest of me nipped and tucked. I did have a TT a little over a year before I had WLS. Thankfully that held. I will probably continue and get a boob & butt lift, and my bat-wings done too. In other news, I started a new job about 1½ months post op. I'm still there. It is a killer of my free time. But I do love it. Oh... and the best news... for now anyway... I bought a new car. I think the only reason I have enough leg room is because I now have a smaller butt. I bought a brand new Honda Element in bright red. It is quite the "Cindymobile"... My next major adventure is to possibly buy my first home. Well... That's about it... Watch out world.... I'm coming!!! Cindy

Hi All, I was up and around only a few hours after surgery. I also tried organizing IV races in the hallways once I got on the floor...LOL I guess because I was so mobile, I was allowed to leave the hospital on 10/21/04. I think I am more tired at home than I was at the hospital... But then again I'm not taking the narcotics either. So with increased pain comes more exhaustion. But I'm doing ok.
