OK, IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG SINCE MY LAST POST..SORRY!  SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED TO ME SINCE MY SURGERY IN DEC 2006.  FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE HAD A BABY SHE'S 8WKS OLD.  YES, I WAS PREGNANT DURING MY SURGERY AND FOUND OUT WHEN I WAS 4MNTHS ALONG!!  CRAZY HUH!..  ANYWAYS, SHE CAME OUT PERFECT AND I STILL MANAGED TO LOSE WEIGHT,,, I'M WEIGHING 145LBS AND STILL LOSING, MY GOAL IS 140 BY DEC.. I THINK MY POUCH HAS STRETCHED BECAUSE I'M EATING A 6INCH SUBWAY SANDWICH IN ONE SITTING (oops)  I GAINED 2 PNDS IN 2 DAYS,   SO ANYWAYS~ MY PREGNACY DURING THIS WHOLE 9 MNTHS HAS BEEN AN EXPERIENCE YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE AND I SURE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GET PREGNANT EITHER!!  BABY SARAH IS A BLESSING!  I HAD A WONDERFUL OB/GYN DOC IN MODESTO WHO TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF ME AND BABY!

I'm home finally! I got home on Saturday and had a wonderful stay at the hospital.  My surgery went well and was only 50 min. Dr Coates came out to my mom with 2 thumbs up :) I was up walking 4 hrs after surgery and I've been walking everyday since. I love my Ipod...I't sure helps to pass time when your walking! I think I sing at the top of my lungs and don't even recognize it, because a few people have looked at me when I pass by (Ha Ha)... I was 243 before surgery and 261 after (all the IV's and Gas)  Tomorrow will be my first post-op appt. w/ Dr. Coates PA, soooo I will see if I've lost anything since surgery.  This liquid diet has gotten harder by the day.  I will be starting pureed foods on Thurs. so if anyone is reading this profile and can give me some help on what to puree I would appreciate the help.  I'm still searching for a support group close to Manteca but no luck so far!  I never thought I would ever had to turn to WLS, but after having 3 boys back to back my body wasn't going back to were I used to be..I used to be a cheerleader since elementary school and high school.  The surgeon did tell me that because of my age I have a great chance of things bouncing back into its place again!!  Let's  hope so! Well, that's all for now, I have to drink my water..ttfn...

Well, tomorrow is the big day!  7:30a.m and very nervous.. I've been reading the complications on the support group websites. It states that OH don't talk about all the bad and complications that arise.  Yesterday I met my surgeon Dr. Coates and loved him!! I hope that I'm in good hands..I begin the magnesiem (yucky stuff) to flush out the system @ 4p,m.  My first weigh in at Dr's ofc was 259 and yesterday i weighed in @ 253 soo I lost 7pnds in 2wks..Doesn't seem like it~so anyways, after talking to the surgeon about the right vitamins to take I got even more confused. I showed him Multisourse multivitamin and he doesnot recommend those??? What? I thought they were highly recommended. Anybody that reads this I hope you'll comment.  Until I get home..goodnight

Well, I've been on this pre-op diet going on 7days now and I'm starving!! Here's the Menu: Breakfast:4oz. protein,4oz.fruit 1 8oz of skim milk
Lunch: Protein shake
Dinner: 4oz protein,4ozvegetables
73-100 oz of water or clear liquids a day
I have had a terrible cold for the past 3 days and I have surgery in 7days..So much to do and so little time. I decorated the house today for Christmas trying to get everything ready befor surgery. I want to come home with some christmas spirit. I'll post tomarrow..good nite

I was approved in 2 days and my surgery date is Dec 13th,2006! I'm so nervous and scared, I hope I made the right decision to have this surgery.I switched from wanting to get the lapband to the RNY instead. I still cannot find any support groups in Manteca, Ca.  I'm searching for people to talk to about this surgery.  I've really been researching this web site for months now.  I can't get my pic on my profile and I don't know how to create a nice profile.
