Adam Naaman

"I had choosen another doctor at first, but soon heard of Dr. Naaman's surgical expertise and decided that I would rather go with him for the surgery. I haven't met with him yet but have discussed things with Bernice who is awesome! I'm excited about meeting him and will post more later. Hopeful to have surgery soon! 11/7/2002 - Met with Dr. Naaman -- very impressed, loved the staff as they were very informative.... I didn't get my surgery date like I had hoped for but hopefully sometime next week we will hear something -- I'm trying to get this done before the end of the year as my husbands company is changing insurance companies and I don't know what is going to be covered... so I'll post again when I hear something... 1/06/02 - Haven't posted for awhile - I've had a issue back in late Dec. that sent me to the hospital for 3 days - I was dehydrated --- I was having pains in my stomach from drinking and just couldn't do it- so I didn't ... and ended up in the ER -- that sucked.... But I'm better now.. will update more later but for now - the weight is coming off and I'm happy about that .... I'm down to 234.5 as of this morning!!! YEAH!!! Dr. Naaman is still great -- he is a little short with me while in the hospital but he wants you to just FOLLOW directions - don't think your going to tell him what you want to do .. ha - he TELLS YOU what your going to do!!! But he said I could stay in the hospital for a day or a week - UNTIL I FELT better -- he would do whatever I needed him to do! "

"The hospital itself was OK -- the nurses however were something else...Of the 10 or so different nurses that came into my room - there were only 2 of them that were informative and helpful...The other ones were just there to do their time and really didn't care how a person felt....I told one nurse that my head hurt and she just looked at me for a whole MINUTE --now that doesn't sound like a lot of time - but try staring at someone for a whole minute... it is very uncomfortable... and she said NOTHING about my headache... just stared at me...strangest thing! Then some idiot comes in to the room in the middle of the night to take your blood - which I never understand why they have to do this at NIGHT.. and since my veins are collasped becasue of the no food/drink deal - he can't find a vein... he in turn dug and poked and poked all over my arms for a vein and could only get a drop or two of blood -then he went away -- a few hours later he came back... for more. I left that hospital with bruises all over me. Actaully when I went for pre-ops -- the nurse who took my blood - missed my vein or something and I told her it was burning -- she didn't believe me -- but I woke up in the middle of the night with a HUGE knot on my elbow -- where blood had collected... burning hot and I thought surgery was going to get cancelled because of it... They do not know how to use a needle there - so be careful of who pokes you! If my family had not have been there -- well I don't know what I would have done -I think they just stick you in a room and hope someone else takes care of you.... I don't like the hospital and just won't go back if I don't have too! "
