I'm a 34 year old single mom of three wonderful boys. I made my decision to pursue having surgery about three months ago. I have had to fight my weight all my life and the older I get the harder it gets to stay healthy. I finally made the decision to have surgery when I realized that I could no longer keep up with my three active boys and due to other medical reasons as well. I went to see Dr. Naaman on the recommendation of one of my co-workers who had surgery done last year with Dr. Naaman. At my initial visit everyone in the office was really nice and very eager to answer any and all of my questions. My initial visit was on September 21, 2004. The office submitted a letter to my insurance company about two weeks later and I was approved on October 18, 2004. I was so surprised that I had gotten my approval so quickly. I am very excited about my up coming surgery. I now have a surgery date of November 19th, 2004. I can't wait to be on the loosing side for once. I'm really looking forward to getting my life back.

Well, I'm now three weeks post-op and feeling wonderful. I have already lost 30lbs since surgery. I know that sounds like it's too much too fast, but I feel great. Surgery went really well. I have very little pain and discomfort after surgery, just hated that JP drain. Man was I glad to get rid of that thing. It also helped that I had a lot of family support and the wonderful and loving touch of my boyfriend after surgery. He took very good care of me Thank you Tommy!!!
