Almost 11 months out - Down 120 lbs!

Aug 08, 2009

It's been a while since I've posted anything.  I'm feeling SOOO much better but seem to be stuck just above 200.  I can't seem to break into the 190's.  I can't be that frustrated though because I'm eating more sugar than before and not exercising as much as I should be so I know I have myself to blame.  My nut told me that now is when I will really need to work at it like I had never had the surgery - low fat, low sugar, high exercise.  I would like to lose 30 more (maintain between 175 and 180).  I would be totally content with that.  I also would really like to have a tummy tuck.  The loose skin is preventing me from getting into a lower size pant (I'm a 14 now) and it still makes my middle look big.

We just got back from Williamsburg, VA and it was SO great to be able to fit comfortably in all the seats for all the rides at Busch Gardens!!.  NO stress "will I fit?" or being so tired from walking around that park that I thought I would pass out.  I felt great and walked effortlessly all day!  It's the best feeling in the world!!!

I still don't eat a fraction of what I use to but bread is truly the enemy.  I try to avoid it totally because I love it so much and if I have any, I get full so fast that I don't eat anything else.  Not a good pattern.  I am going to start doing better and trying to walk every day to lose these last 30 lbs.  I get a little down when I see others on this site that had the surgery around the same time as me and have lost more, but I have to stay focused on all that I have accomplished.  120 lbs is still great, right?!!!
