Hi Everyone! I'm a 40something married mother of two teenagers who has been overweight since childhood. I remember going to the 7-eleven to pick up my supper of soda, candy, and chips as a young child. My diet didn't improve much from then until I was diagnosed with diabetes in '96. Since then I've been better about what I eat but still have a lot of room for improvement. As far as exercise I joked that I was allergic to sweating. Now comes the time to pay the piper.... I have realized that my past has caught up with me. I am too young and way, way too busy to feel as tired as I do. I decided in January of this year to get serious about losing this weight. I have found over the last 9 months that my metabolism and fatigue are getting the better of me, not to mention that I'm gaining rather than losing while on WW. I've made the decision to pursue gastric bypass surgery. Now I am SO impatient to get everything in place. Here's to a quick and successful quest for the new and improved me!
