My Dr. requires patients to be on a full liquid and I will tell you, right now? I am one HUNGRY girl! My surgery was secheduled initially for noon tomorrow... just my luck, I've been bumped to 2pm. I'll get through though.. I am so ready for this to be over! The countdown is on :o)

I go tomorrow for my pre-op work-up. I am scared, excited and ready! Thanks to everyone for their kind words, it really makes me feel as if I'm not going through this alone!

I not only lost the extra 10 pounds that I gained, I lost a total of  15 pounds!!!
I almost fell on the floor, I was so shocked! Now I have a date, August 2nd. My goal is to lose 6 more pounds by then. My husband said to me " well, you did that, maybe you can do it without the surgery"? Nuh-uh buddy, no way! I am so ready for this, scared but ready to go out and conquer my new life! Carpe Diem!

I got my date moved to August 2, 2007. Bad news is that I've gained 11 pounds since I first saw him :o(. I actually thought that it would be worse. I now need to lose those 11 pounds and perhaps a little more within 3 weeks! I have to go back in 2 wks for a weight check. I have no doubt that I can do that, I've gained and lost hundreds of pounds in my life, losing is really not the problem.. KEEPING IT OFF is my challenge!
Dr. Moran is now doing surgeries at Rex, which is good.. but, he's only doing the lap bands there for now until he gets someone who is qualified as an assistant to aid in the RNY. He was a little more personable today and boy I was surprised! He took a little more time, looked me in the eye a little more and was in some strange way a little more gentler with me today. It was brief but I saw it! :o)

I go see Dr. Moran on the 10th of July.  There is a really good possibility that I will have my surgery sooner than the 16th of August...yippie!!! I am so scared though, I have been eating way too much and I'm scared that I have gained weight.  I went on vacation and ate like crazy then things started happening left and right and the stress was on maximum speed and I ate :o(. He told me when I saw him the first time that if I gained too much weight before surgery he would cancel the surgery. Also told me that he likes to see his patients lose 10lbs at least so the liver shrinks back.
Oh well.. I shall see.

August 16th, 2007 will tentatively be the day that my journey begins! I was hoping for sooner rather than later but hey... I'll TAKE IT!  I am so excited, nervous, hopefull, my emotions have run the gamit.

Yesterday I went to Franklin Medical Center for all of my testing except my cardiac testing which I will do on Monday. To say that I'm getting nervous would be putting it mildly! The barium swallow was GROSS! I gagged it back up and the Dr. looked at me and said, " You are gonna have to drink it again"! So glad that's over!
I talked with Janell she said as soon as she has all the results she will call me... I'm thinking towards the end a next week or the next week at the latest I'll have a date! She also told me that BCBS only takes about a week to approve... I'm off on my journey!
