"Update 08/04/2010: I heard today that Dr. Roye will be leaving Amarillo in 2011 and returning to Waxahachie. I will be sad to see him go, but if the reasons given to me (from another patient) are correct, then I can understand. He will be greatly missed however.

First off, Dr. Roye is located in Amarillo, TX now, so OH needs to update that. :)
I've had great experiences with Dr. Roye. When I had my first consult at the end of 2008, he explained to me the difference between lapband and rNy. Initially I was going to have lapband, but I decided rNy would be the better choice after he explained it to me.
I was required to lose 20 lbs before surgery, but instead I lost 50. I met all other requirements and had my surgery on 06/17/2009. He told my husband after surgery that I was a rock star because I lost more than what I was required. I still get giggles over that.
He was a great surgeon, I healed very quickly and his bedside manner was wonderful. I can't really say anything bad about him."
