"When I first started going to the meetings, Dr. P wasn't even there yet. When he came on board, I was skeptical about him, because of his age and experience. I was totally loyal to Dr. Selinkoff. After a few meetings, I started warming up to Dr. P when I realized he was just as competent as Dr. S and just as knowledgeable. I also liked that he had his own "style" and that he and Dr. S didn't always agree on every aspect. I am completely confident in both Dr. P's and Dr. S's abilities. I have chosen Dr. P for 2 reasons: 1) I could see him sooner than Dr. S, and 2)Dr. P has a softer side; what I mean is, I love both doctors equally for different reasons, but when I come out of surgery, I am thinking that I would like a soft, fluffy, "oh you poor baby" kind of thing. While I am usually like Dr. S in everyday life - no nonsense, tell it like it is - after surgery I have a feeling I'm not gonna feel like anybody getting in my face!!
I trust them both completely, and since they try to assist each other, I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds!!
I was kind of put off, reading all these gushy comments by everyone, and no one saying anything bad - it seems kind of fake. But I assure you, I have seen them both far too many times, and I can say that I have no negative comments, either! I have not found anything about them to complain about (and I have looked!) I feel totally confident that they have my best interests at heart and they believe in this surgery enough to do what it takes. This is not just a job to them, they take it very personally, and have said so. One more reason to love them!"
