"Dr Lautz has been fantastic all along. He was very upfront with me about the risks of the surgery. He made sure I understood the entire process and how my body would change. He was kind and very supportive. His wonderful assistant Eileen took very good care of me. She is truly a whiz at her job. She made sure all my appointments with the nutritionist, psychiatrist, and radiology were all scheduled smoothly. If I had a problem with anything I called the office and it was taken care of. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering WLS. I was very impressed with their presentation at the info session. They have extensive aftercare as well. It's great too because if you have an insurance carrier that requires the support group meetings BWH has them for FREE. As far as what I was looking for when I chose Dr Lautz.....definitely surgical competence. He has done the most of the RNY surgeries at BWH. I wanted the best and I got him. I had to wait a bit to get an appt but it was sooooo worth it. Bedside manner is great. But I have family and friends to hold my hand if I need it lol. I give him and his staff a big fat 10!!!!"
