Balboa Navy Medical Center

"I found the nurses and doctors to be professional, caring, and patient. The majority of the corpsman were polite and helpful, but, unfortunately I had a corpsman one evening who was flippant, rude, and uncaring. He would not walk close to me when I was wobbly and was just rude! 2 days post op and he made a statement about not being sure that HE would have trouble walking with the pain. Like most hospitals, sleep is almost impossible. The staff is usually making noise out in the hall and getting vitals taken every few hours isnt helpful. Other than the safety issue (falling) the hospital experience was what I expected it to be. *One other note......Anesthesiology was FANTASTIC! Very caring. Very professional."

William Bertucci

"Dr. Bertucci is professional, competent, and approachable. He was thorough and honest about the risks and benefits. He didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave the room and answered all of my questions patiently and professionally. I would highly recommend him for future patients. The only thing I didnt like about the clinic I went to was the difficulty in talking to a nurse if there were issues. I called because of continued pain issues 4 days after my surgery and NEVER received a return phone call from the staff. However, when I called back after working hours and spoke to a corpsman I received a call back from a member of my surgical team within 15 minutes. Issues was resolved."
