"Dr. Schmitt is a wonderful Doctor. I originally went in to the seminar and heard his partner Dr. Les Miles at Medical Center East. I had a friend who had used Dr. Schmitt so I selected him to do my surgery. My first impression was that he was friendly and confident. His office staff were terrific. The nurse practioner Kim is awesome! Dr. Schmitt has a great program you go through at MCE. You are very well educated and prepared to know what to expect before, during and after surgery. The nutritional class was very helpful prior to surgery! Dr. Schmitt is very upfront about the risks of surgery but also has very good stats himself and has done over 1000 bypass surgeries. I would rate him overall as a terrific, caring and competent surgeon! I liked his personality he is not a big talker but has a sharp dry sense of humor I thought was really funny! I like a direct to the point kind of Dr. that makes me feel safe and secure while in their hands. Dr. Schmitt fit the bill for me personally! "
