I am 39 yrs old and have been heavy all of my life. I am now at my heaviest that I have ever been. Over the past several years I have been looking at the surgery as an option but could never get up the nerve to do something. I started this journey with a friend in late 2005 and went to the info seminar. My friend continued with the process and I decided not to continue at that time. My friend has been successful and I am very proud of her (you know who you are). I have watched and supported her through her journey and decided that now is the time for mine. I went to Dr. Singh's office and have done all the requirements and was approved through Aetna HMO 1st try. I have severe sleep apnea and I am waiting for my C-Pap to come in to be on it for 30days (requirement from Dr) so that I can schedule my surgery. I am ready and cannot wait to start my new life.
