"08/31/01 Today was my consultation with Dr. J.K. Champion (surgery is in 4 days). I have been really nervous and apprehensive about meeting Dr. Champion, now I don't know why I worried over it so much. Dr. Champion was the best!!! The perfect combination of professionalism and personalism! He was friendly, reassuring, and direct. Dr. Champion answered all my questions, made sure I was comfortable and knowledgable about the procedure, explained everything from beginning to end, and even discussed risks. He then said that I was a perfect candidate for the RNY and he was confident that I would have excellent success from the surgery! His staff was also very helpful and nice. I know for certain that I am in the best of hands!!!!"
