I can't say I have been overweight all of my life. Being 5'10 I have been shapely all of my life. 14years ago after the birth of my son I surpassed the 200lb mark. I have not seen under 200lbs since. I have always been ok with my weight until I became a diabetic. Since becoming diabetic I am concerned for my long term health. I would also like to feel thin again. I am scheduled for Dr. Hart in Atlanta informational seminar on 03/22/07. I hope to be on the healthy losing side soon.
05/09/07-I had attend the seminar with Dr. Hart, but when I scheduled my consult I was assigned Dr. Johnson. I have not heard much about him, but everyone says he is just as good. I believe he is. He is very knowledgeable about the surgery and has great bedside manner. As of yesterday I am done with all of my pre-qualifying appts. I have had the pre-op work, nutritionist, support group mtg, and pych appts. My dr’s office is working on my paper work and told me they will submit for insurance next week. I am praying for a quick approval.
