I decided in March of 2008 that I wanted to look into WLS. At first I was not 100% convinced at first so I did quite a bit of research. It all pointed back to the fact that the risks of the WLS were far less than that of being so morbidly obese. I started on my journey and had the surgery on October 20, 2008. I had a very rough first 3 months. I kept asking myself why I would do this. Well I did it for my health(My LIFE). I have lost more than 100 lbs. and continue to lose. I am so glad I decided to have this surgery (RNY) If given the choice again and now knowing what I would go through I would DEFINITELY do it all over again.
