My story is not new... I've battled weight problems since my teenage years. My weight rollercoaster has included many fad diets and 3 significant 60+ pounds drops. Each time I regained that weight and more.
After my divorce, I went into therapy and through those sessions finally admitted to myself, then aloud, that I am morbidly obese. I was in denial for so long and finally faced that I could not - can not - overcome this obstacle alone and continuing on this path is affecting my life quality... and quantity.
I researched gastric bypass, involved my therapist, physician and family in the dialogue, attended informational sessions, then made my decision to pursue life-changing WLS.
