1 Year Anniversary!

 OK....yesterday was my one year anniversary from my DS.  What a wonderful year!  With a loss of 89 pounds, also came immensely improved health!  I no longer have high blood pressure, my pulse rate has slowed, all of my lab numbers are NORMAL!  Not to mention my mental perspective of everything. 
I was overweight for so long, I became addicted to dieting and diet programs.  I still stop and watch the infomercials, even though I don't need them.  I am still battling the "portion control" ordering when eating out.  I still order like an overweight person, but I have two meals to go!  
It has been a wonderful year.  I have learned a lot about myself, about my "now" supportive family, and my friends and coworkers.  
New clothes have been a mixed blessing.  They are expensive.  But it's been wonderful letting go of all those dowdy tents, and finally tucking a shirt in with a belt!   I had to order a new shirt for work, and the sales clerk said I was tiny and needed a smaller size!  I never thought I'd hear that!
Recently, I went on a trip requiring an airline seat.  How fun was it to climb over someone into my window seat!  Whew!
I honestly feel younger and "re-born".  There are days when I am so happy I'm dancing by myself!  
This was the BEST decision I ever made for myself!
