Dear Pat, Happy 1st year Anniversary of your WLS! Does it feel as though a year has passed already? I'm curious how you are doing and if you reached goal weight. I'm 4'11" and started out at 218. I'm now down nearly 50lbs, which is half way to my goal. Things are really slowing down now!

As of this morning I've lost a total of 39#. I'm walking about 3 miles a day and feeling so much better. At this point I guess I can say I'm glad I did this but for awhile I wasn't real sure.

Hey Pat:) Glad to see your doing good and got your "zipper" removed:) I just got mine out 2days ago, just steri-strips now. If I could just get rid of the g-tube I'd feel lots better:) I'm just now getting back to the website to catch up on everyone:) So much to read for being offline for 2wks, but it'll keep me out of trouble:) I hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Thoughts your way:) ttfn

I got my staples out last Thursday and I feel so much more comfortable. I had lost 12# and the doctor was pleased. I'm feeling like walking now and I can swim so I'm sure that will help alot. I've been feeling much better this last week the reflux is under control and I'm sleeping well so that makes alot of difference. I'm still not sure I'd ever do this again, but I'm sure as time goes on I'll be glad I did it.Anyway I'll let you know. Best wishes to all! Pat Moore

Hi Well it's been 8 days now so I thought I'd better update. Sorry it's taken awhile but I've had a few problems sleeping. I had reflux for two nights so the doctor had me take Zantac and I'm feeling better now. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.I have my staples out the 31st so I can't hardly wait for that! Please keep me in your prayers and I'll let everyone know how I'm doing. Pat Moore

Hey Pat! How the heck are you doing? I really don't think I could be doing any better than I am. I just wanted to check on you and let you know that I'm thinking of you. (I can't wait to get these staples out! Come on 8/29!)

Hello all, again I apologize for the delayed posting. However, again I bring good tidings:) Pat was also released from the hospital thursday morning and is back home with her husband Michael and her children and grandchildren:) Pat still has some pain, but is now only taking motrin at home. When I visited her in the hospital tuesday afternoon she was still using the morphine pump and just a wee bit groggy. I talked with her this evening by phone and she sounded Lots better and much more awake:) So far so good:) Please continue to send messages of encouragement for her journey:) ttfn Angel in Training:)
