I have been over weight my whole life and looked toward gastric bypass in 2007. After lots of research I decided RYN was the way to go for me. It took me 11 months to get approval which gave me the time I needed to prepare mentally for the surgery. Of course you have no idea what you are getting into until you actually do it, I would like to think I was as prepared as possible! I did have minor complications but I am good now. I am looking forward to a healthier me! I was denied 3 times before I was approved with BCBS of IL but it was worth the wait. I was on a mission once I was declined the first time, if you get denied let it make you stronger to push to get what you deserve!
I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I have a wonderful fiance Ben that I have been with for over 5 years, he has been such a great support to me for Surgery and for Life in General. My mom and Sissy are also my biggest fans. I love them all dearly and look forward to having many more years with them all.
