Today I went for my 1 month follow up and I have lost a total of 8lbs for the month. I am so proud of myself I just dont know what to do. I did not receive a fill because I was in between the green and yellow zone. In about a month I will be in the yellow zone the Dr. said. So I will just have to hang in there for another month. I sure hope and pray I can make it. I just wanted to share my good news! YAY!

    So, I have not posted in a while. I had surgery and now 1 week as of today post op. It has been a very trying week. But I know that if the LORD brings me to it he will bring me through it. The gas okay some days are worse then other and unfortunately one of my incision looks as if it could get infected. The MD prescribed me some Rx and hopefully it will be taken care of in a few days. As of 8/19 when I started my liquid diet until today I have lost a total of 19lbs. YAY!!!! And today I finally got to eat some SF pudding…Lawd it was good! The water seems to be an issue getting down but I am trying very hard. Hopefully it will get better. Well that’s the update thus far!   God Bless

So today is day 7 of my liquid diet. I must say that it has been VERY hard, but I have managed to only have one minor slip (very small piece of grilled Tilapia) even with that added I still managed to stay under my 800 allowed calories. Luckily, I only need to do the liquid for only 2 days but I wanted to prepare myself for what’s to come. I know I can make it through my 2 day liquid (starting tomorrow) with no problem. I am so excited! A little nervous at time but very excited. I can not wait to begin my new life. Well back to work just wanted to put some thoughts on paper. So, Today I went to see my surgeon one last time before my BIG DAY. Well I was a little scared because I just got back off of a week long vacation (cruise) and if you have ever been on a cruise you know how the food is. I tried very hard to eat good selections as well as exercise. Wellllllllll, got on the scale and what do you know….I had gained 3lbs. I was thinking a lot more but I don’t think that’s bad being that I have went on 2 vacations, a family reunion, several summer cook outs, and a large work gathering (at the baseball field).   So the 3lbs was gained overall about a 2-3 month period (I still should know better). So the surgeon comes in, he was a good sport but he was not so happy L Needless to say he just instructed me to NOT GAIN ANYMORE WEIGHT, and exercise everyday until surgery day (8/28).

 

After he left the nurse comes in to give me my directions to prepare. So right thing I knew today would be the start of my liquid diet. Even thought my doctor does not require 10 day he only requires 2, I put in my mind that I would start it today so that I could experience a little taste of what lies ahead. Let me tell you how the first day was evil. I was so hungry! All I could do was just say “Lord help me through this”.  I made it and now moving on to my 2^nd day. Now only if I can get this exercise thing down, It would be awesome.

 

So, there it is my first day of liquid. I know it will get better with the help of the Lord, friends, family and the support of my soon to be friend on OH.

So, the time has come. Yesterday I received a call from my doctors office and the words that came of of the RNs mouth were "you are approved". I don't think it has hit me yet. I am still kinda like okay...I am approved. Don't get my wrong it has been a long time coming and I am excited. It must have been all in Gods plan for me 

My surgery date has been set for 8/28/08. I guess as times get closer it will all set in and then I will have some type of emotions. I am excited about the getting approved so fast (being that this is my 3rd attempt since I was 18) YAY!!
