My surgery was cancelled and I am seeking a new surgeon. I am hoping to have surgery in May or June.

Hi Gail! Best wishes for a non-eventful surgery & a pain free recovery. Soon you'll be a big LOSER like the rest of us...lol. See you on the other side! God bless & take care.

HI Gail, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!! Sorry to hear about the dr not doing the surgery anymore- maybe he will do just the ones he has scheduled already. I hope you find out good things monday. I got bad news too - I went for pre ops last wed and was told I cant have surgery as my oxygen level is too low. I was in SHOCK! I went to my Pulmonary/sleep apnea dr this morning and he said it wasnt low- He said 92 is not low- then i tested 95 at his office. The surgeon wants me to have a trach done but my pulmonary dr thought that was kind of extreme. I do wear a bipap and cant tolerate it- i rip it off when i get to sleep. I got a new full face mask today so I will try and keep it on. I want this surgery to breathe and live longer but i cant have it because I cant breathe- catch 22 huh? Geeh, if things werent so complicated!! God Bless you and I know it will turn out fine for u. De :)

Gail--I'm so sorry to hear about what has happened (on your birthday no less). Don't give up, see if your surgeon can reccomend another. I can understand the frustration you must be feeling.

Gail - so sorry to hear your news about your surgeon - what a birthday present! But, I still wish you a very happy birthday, because this will happen, might be later than what you want, but it will happen! I'm exactly 8 months behind you, I'll turn the big 5-0 on 12/11.

I'm sorry about the sad news on your birthday. I'm praying that Monday your surgeron will reconsider your case and go ahead and do your surgery for you.

While I'm not a pro with this stuff, I would recommend you get your original surgeon's office to transfer you and your information to another

Gail- I'm 19days pre-op and I know exactly how you feel. I can't cocentrate and go constantly between excited to scared to death. I keep trying to focus on the reasons why I'm doing this. Feeling better, getting rid of some medical conditions and medications. Making life easier to move around in. When I focus on those things it seems to help
